Rental Policies

At Babcock Adventure Co., we want your eBike rental experience to be fun, safe, and stress-free. Please review our rental policies before booking.

Rental Duration & Timing

• Pick-up: 9:00 AM
• Drop-off: 5:00 PM
• You may pick up later or return earlier, but rental times remain fixed.
• One Day Rental: 9 AM – 5 PM, same day.
• Multi-Day Rentals: Example: 2 days = 9 AM first day – 5 PM second day.
• Half-Day Rentals:
• Morning: 9 AM – 12 PM
• Afternoon: 1 PM – 4 PM
• Requests outside standard hours may be available for an additional fee.

Payment & Deposits

• Rentals must be paid in full at pick-up.
• A security deposit is required:
• Credit card: temporary authorization only.
• Debit card/cash: collected upfront, refunded upon safe return.
• Add-ons such as buddy seat, delivery, or damage waiver may be purchased at checkout.

Eligibility & Riders

• Must be 18 or older to rent.
• Riders 16+ may operate with a parent/guardian waiver.
• Children under 16 may only ride as passengers on an approved buddy seat (must wear a helmet, weight limits apply).
• Riders must be able to safely operate an eBike and may not ride under the influence.

Waivers & Safety

• A signed waiver is required for all riders.
• Riders under 18 need a parent/guardian signature.
• Helmets are included with all rentals. Helmets are required by Florida law for riders under 16 and strongly encouraged for everyone.

Delivery & Location

• Bikes may be taken outside Babcock Ranch.
• Delivery and pickup are available within Babcock Ranch for an additional fee.
• Bikes must be returned to the same location unless otherwise arranged.

Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancel 72+ hours in advance → Full refund.
• Cancel within 72 hours → 20% cancellation fee.
• Holiday & peak rentals → Must cancel 7 days in advance.
• No-shows will be charged the full rental amount.

Care & Responsibility

• Bikes must be returned in clean, working condition.
• You are responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment (unless covered by damage waiver).
• Normal wear issues (flat tires, minor adjustments, battery swaps) are covered by us.
• Misuse, reckless riding, or prohibited use may result in fees.

Weather Policy

• Rentals go out rain or shine.
• In case of unsafe weather (lightning, severe storms, hurricane warnings), we may allow you to reschedule at no extra cost.

Prohibited Use

• No highways, beaches, or restricted areas.
• No tricks, stunts, or competitive racing.
• Only the listed riders may operate the rented eBike.
